My God, your work is truly amazing! Did you take any schooling anywhere? Apprenticeship or teach yourself? Adding this one to my favorites.

thankies. well ive basically been painting all my life, had some guidance from an artist friend but thats about it. i went to the Julian Ashton Art School for a bit, i had a years scholarship, but that was mainly doing the human figure. so when it comes to do doing landscapes im self taught
hmmm advice... well im not sure cause everyone has their own style...
but i always start with the sky, and ususlly work my way forward, so i always do the foreground last. i pay close attention to the light and colors, in fact i accentuate the colors, kinda like always make them a little brighter or deeper then the photo im working off. and another thing is working out how to do things the best way. like i have a certain way i do grass and certain stubby old brushes i use. the same with leaves, so i can do large areas in relatively quick time. but the key do doing good grass is having alot of variations of brown, or sienna or green, whatever the grass color, is on your palete. so when you are dapping it on - on your brush is like 4 colors.
if that makes any sense... lol
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
